Kádas Opening · A00
Beginner's Trap
1. h4 d5 2. Rh3
In the centre, Black holds d5.
The first 3 moves, explained
- 1. h4 A useful waiting move that grabs space on the h-file. Theory calls this the Kádas Opening.
- 1... d5 Stakes a claim in the centre, controlling e4, and frees the bishop and queen.
- 2. Rh3 Develops the rook to h3. Only the knight on b1, bishop on c1, bishop on f1 and knight on g1 still stand at home. Theory calls this the Beginner's Trap.
